Revolve object

By using the “EP Curve Tool” and the “Revolve” tool, I can create variety of objects and also altering the curves by using the “Move Tool”, “Rotate Tool” or the “Scale Tool”.

To create the revolve object, I started it by going into the “Side” view and I used the “EP Curve Tool”. Below is a screenshot of it:

I then selected the line that I created in the “Side” view, I then selected the “Surfaces” drop down menu and then selected “Revolve”. I manipulated it by using the “Move Tool”, “Scale Tool” and “Rotate Tool” to create an object. Below is a screenshot of the object:

Loft object

By using the “Curves” and the “Loft” tool, I can create variety of objects and also altering the curves by using the “Move Tool”, “Rotate Tool” or the “Scale Tool”.

To create the loft object, I started it by going into the “Top” view and created a circle by using “Curves”. Below is a screenshot of a circle:

I then duplicated the circle several times, I then selected all of the circles and selected “Loft” which is located in the “Surfaces” drop down menu. I also altered it by using the “Move Tool” to create the object. Below is a screenshot of the object:

Animated waving hand version 2

This is the second version of the waving hand, I used the same hand model as the first version of “Animated waving hand”, when the user starts to animate the hand, the bone has been separated from the skin even though the skin and the bone has been joined together by using “Smooth Bind”. I then selected the skin and the bone by going to the “Skin” drop down menu and then selected “Detach Skin”. Below is a screenshot showing the thumb and the skin has been separated:

The screenshot below shows that I have placed the bone back into the skin:

The screenshot below shows that I have selected both the bone and the skin and selected “Smooth Bind” which is located in the “Skin” drop down menu and then selected “Bind Skin” and then selected “Smooth Bind”:

The screenshot below shows that I have animated it by selecting the wrist and also the “Rotation Tool” to rotate the hand, I then pressed “S” on the keyboard to insert a key frame. I repeated the step until I completed my animation:

Animated waving hand version 1

I have been given a model which it is a hand, I have used the “Joint Tool” and “Smooth Bind” to animate the hand:

To create the bone joint, I selected the “Animation” tab and then selected the “Joint Tool” and renamed all of the joints. Below is a screenshot showing that I have used the “Joint Tool” to create the bone joint:

I highlighted both the skin and the bone joints so I can create the “Smooth Bind”, below is a screenshot of it:

To join the skin and the bone joint together, I selected “Smooth Bind” which is located in the “Animation” drop down menu. I then selected “Skin” from the drop down menu and then “Bind Skin”. Below is a screenshot showing that I have joint both the skin and the bone together:

To animate the hand, I selected the setting which is located in “Window” and then in “Settings/Preferences” and then in “Preferences” and then in “Settings” and then in “Time”, I then selected “NTSC (30 fps)” from the drop down menu. I then selected the first frame, below is a screenshot showing that I have selected the first key frame:

To animate the hand, I selected the wrist of the hand and then selected the “Rotation Tool”. I then pressed the “S” key on the keyboard to key in the frame. I then continued to do the same thing for the amount of key frames that I wanted to key in. Below is a screenshot showing the key frame that has been selected and the “Rotation Tool” that has been used to create this animation:

Camera view on city street

This is the same city model that I have used on the “Camera view on city fly over” blog post, I used the same method to create the camera view and animating the camera. For this camera view, I zoomed in on the street view.

Camera view on city fly over

I have learnt how to create a camera view by creating a new camera view and by pressing “S” key on the keyboard. The user then requires selecting the first frame and pressing the “S” key on the keyboard, it will automatically inserts a key frame.

I have been given a model which it is a city, below is a screenshot of a city without textures:

I have setup camera view for the city fly over, to create the camera, I selected “New” which is located under “Panels” and then in “Perspective” and then in “New” and renamed the camera view to an appropriate name. Below is a screenshot of the starting point of the camera view:

The camera view goes at mid point of the animation. Below is a screenshot of the camera view point:
